Hi, I’m Josh. I created Bastet Creative Studio LLC as a small, independent technology practice built around one simple belief: technology should make things clearer, not more complicated.
I’ve had a couple of resets in my life. The hard kind. Like, waking up in a hospital and not knowing basic things such as walking, talking, and where my mouth was to feed myself. I can laugh about it now, because in retrospect, it’s made me redefine my entire life, and the kind of things I value. Things like human interaction and understanding each other well enough to make things happen.
After having to relearn everything, it made me more aware of what kind of struggles people and small businesses want. To be heard by someone who is listening and can work to solve their issue.
I still have memory gaps, especially in terms of short-term memory. I’ve accepted that this will never get better. I have fail-safes, though, such as every business interaction is documented.
That experience forced me to rebuild my life slowly and deliberately.
In many ways, it’s also how I approach technology.
My Philosophy:
Technology should feel understandable. You should always know how your systems work and never feel trapped by tools you don’t control. If you need help getting there, I’m here.
The name, Bastet, if you’re curious, is rooted in Egyptian mythology. Bastet represented protection, awareness, and quiet intelligence. I take inspiration from that idea: calm guidance through seemingly complex things.
